Residential CCTV Solutions
The residential CCTV market is flooded with different options and brands, however, not all CCTV cameras are created equal. At Access Control Ltd, we only recommend products that have a proven track record in reliability, that are sourced locally (no parallel or grey imports) and have an international reputation for build quality, image quality and ease of use.
The most common feature we are asked for is a camera system that can be viewed remotely from a smartphone or tablet. That’s why, all the Residential CCTV systems we install can do it. You can also receive push notifications if the cameras detect motion in a designated area.
The second most common feature we are asked about is night vision. We recognise that this is an important feature for any residential CCTV system, so we make sure that all our cameras are equipped with IR (Infra-Red) LED’s to deliver outstanding performance in low light and even in total darkness.
When choosing a residential CCTV system, the right advice and products are very important to get the best value out of your system. The team at Access Control Ltd have a great understanding of this industry and we can help you from the initial consultation, through to the design, then the installation and most importantly the after sales care.
We pride ourselves on listening to your requirements, then delivering a result that matches those requirements.
What kind of Camera do I need
You may have heard of the term Megapixel cameras; this term relates to the native image size. It has very little to do with image quality and camera performance. The real test for cameras is the wide dynamic performance, encoding format, frames per second and image sensor size. This is an industry that can get confusing and surrounded by big chain stores selling fancy packaging.
The latest technology for the CCTV market is IP (Internet Protocol) cameras. These cameras are connected back via a network connection to an NVR (Network Video Recorder). Unlike the traditional Analogue CCTV Cameras, this connection doesn’t have to be a fixed cable between the camera and recorder. Now we have different options available to get the camera signal back to the recorder including WIFI, Ethernet Cable, LAN (Local Area Network) and even a WAN (Wide Area Network) connection. This makes the installation of IP CCTV camera systems much more flexible.
